E1 Certification

To press wood chips into chipboard, formaldehyde-containing synthetic resins are used as binders. They can harm the environment and human health because these resins do not form a permanent bond with the wood chips and can outgas into the indoor air.

All our bathroom furniture complies with the emission protection class E1. They are therefore low in formaldehyde and, under certain circumstances, will not release more than 0.1 ppm formaldehyde into the indoor air.
